Just Some Movie Junkies decided to take the world of Amnesia and expand it into a short film. Unfortunately, we didn't get too far into the second scene before we all started to fall out interest with the project. I had modeled, textured, and rigged all of the characters from scratch, built out the environments, and set up our cel shader on every asset in the environments before it just became too much for me to continue on the animation on my own. We did do markerless motion capture as well as facial capture for the entire film, but that only gets you 70-80% there, leaving pops that need cleaning up, hands that still need to be animated, and tweaks that need to be made to allow the characters to actually interact with props and environments. Overall, it was a fantastic learning experience, and I walked away having developed a lot of skills that I may not have otherwise.
